Personally, I don't find any logic in that... Why wouldn't Angelica Jones be immune to her natural born powers like any other mutant generally is?

Basically, Angelica's natural immunity to her microwave powers didn't develop as quickly as it should have, so she had to wear that pee yellow costume (designed by Hank Pym, of all people) to help speed up its development and protect her from the radiation. Unfortunately, she stopped wearing it.

Actually,the "Pee yellow outfit" which debuted in Avengers vol 3 issue # 8 was a gift from the Wasp.A few issues later,Pym gave her a suit to wear under her yellow outfit.

Yeah, the green circuity meshy thing was the Pym suit designed to drain her excess radiation and jumpstart her natural immunity.

There was also one other mutant that I can think of who wasn't immune to their powers; that woman from Mardox's mini who could set herself on fire but who wasn't flame-proof.

Wait...did no one recommend Busiek's Avengers? Definitely some of my favorite Firestar stuff. Although I haven't read a LOT of New Warriors.

Sometimes they just aren't. If mutants were all immune to their own powers Chamber would not have blown off half his face and chest when his first manifested.
