Thread: Firestar?

  1. #1

    Default Firestar?

I just got Netflix and started watching Spiderman and his Amazing Friends. Gotta say, it is quite a good show all things considered lol
And I am the only who who finds Firestar a total BABE!? No wonder Peter and Bobby and even Sunfire wants her lol
Anyway, I am kinda intrigued by her and if anyone has any recommended readings for her so I can catch up with her comic book counterpart!
    Thnaks!!

Hi. I really recommend the Firestar mini from 1986. Emma Frost is the antagonist but saves Firestar from teenage pregnancy. It's truly an amazing series.

    spoilers:
Emma murders Firestar's horse Butter Rum so that she could interrupt Sam and Firestar from smooching and making a baby.
    end of spoilers
Never Forgive. Never Forget. Justice for Butter Rum. ♥

She got one-shot in 2010. It was also dealing with cancer, so it's an interesting read.

The essential stuff is of course New Warriors vol. 1. In my personal opinion, it's a series that any X-men fan should know.
Despite not being an x-book, 4 out of 6 members were mutants (Firestar, Marvel Boy/Justice, Silhouette, Namorita) and featured guest appearances of X-force, White Queen, Gideon, as well as a tribute to "Days of Future Past" called "Forever Yesterdays" (issues 11-13). Also, it was written by Nicieza. So here you go.

She had cancer due to her microvawe powers. It's actually pretty logical idea for Marvel.

Firestar and justice were both saving it for marriage. She's got that chastity belt locked on tight. She's put herself way, way up on a pedastool from where she might espouse ample amounts of conservative redirect between the panels.
Somebody should make a thread about which MU heroes voted for Romney.
    Two tons of fun

I ate food from microwave literally only once in my life. We should be very careful what we eat, and how nowadays. It's sad to see the approval for genetically modified food by goverments worldwide.

Firestar is mainly an Avenger character , but if you search in comicvine, you'll see that she appeared from time to time in x-books.
Also, Young Allies #6 (2011) has cool chat between Firestar and Emma Frost.

So true my friend. Food taste better when cooked fresh any way or at least reheated with stove.
I do hope she can be used as an X-man one day. She is fabulous in Amazing Friends lol and I will read up on her. Thanks :)

Lovely thread. Desires a sequel called "Firestar? Should Dazzler recruit her?"
