I am currently trying to buy all of Morrison's Batman run. While this does not tie in to it, I am interested in it. Is this good, great, okay or just plain bad? I don't need it to be as good as his batman saga, but just a good comic.

It's good. I don't like his run necessarily, but Gothic is a class act.

Definitely one of my favorite Batman stories of all time, I can't recommend it enough.

Aw man, I couldn't disagree with you more on the art; Klaus Janson absolutely killed it. The moodyness of his art really played into the pulp feel of the story, other than maybe David Mazzucchelli I really can't think of another artist who would have captured the feel of he story so perfectly.

I love Gothic. If you have any interest in the Gothic art movement from the Romanticism era it's a must read.

It's nice to see other people loving the art. I do agree on the moodiness and I think the coloring definitely helps a lot. But I think Klaus Janson's works overall look unfinished. I just feel like something is missing
