Thread: Batman team-up

    Default Batman team-up

What I think is missing is a book where we get to see Batman interact with individual members of the Bat-Family. We hardly see Batman interacting with Dick, Tim, or Barbara unless there is a event going on, and we hardly see Damian outside of Batman and Robin. Why not have a title where Bruce teams up with Tim for a few issues, then Barbara for a few issues, then maybe Kate or Selina? This would be a great way to build on the characterization that we don't usually see between these characters normally. What do you think?

I've been wanting this for a while, they could quite easily just re-brand Batman: The Dark Knight to something like Batman Gotham Knights where batman teams up with the others for story arcs or you could do team ups with nightwing and batgirl or red robin and red hood, or any combination of the bat family, or even use the book to team the bat family characters with other dc superheroes like superman, aquaman, flash or the 4 earth gl's. would be a good way to do team ups without forcing writers to tie it into their own ongoing series.

but yeah give me a bat family team up book!

That's exactly what I was thinking...to rebrand Dark Knight.

Just call it Dark Knights and you're there. Make it a defacto Batman Family book. I'd read it as long as it was heavy on character interaction and light on Batman being a douche.

I thought about this even more and decided to pose the question here http://www.uncannygeek.com/1/post/20...es-family.html

Yes. I love the character moments and interactions of the Bat family, and I'd kill for a book like this.

Honestly, I'd probably buy a book that was just the family hanging out in the Batcave for twenty pages.

I'd like a team-up book too. Right now all the characters come across as merely associates rather than a "bat-family". There needs to be a bridge book for them instead of everyone just in their own individual titles.

When I read the thread title, I thought you were going to suggest something like the old Brave and the Bold, where Batman teamed up with random heroes. My response to that would have been, "meh." But what you're suggesting is indeed much more like the former Gotham Knights title. I think it's a great idea, though I don't see why you'd have to cancel something else to do it. If somebody doesn't like "Dark Knight" (or whatever), simply don't buy it. See, wasn't that easy?

I miss that book, it was worth it just for the Black and White back up strips.

It just seems that every arc is some big event. Maybe it's just the titles I'm reading? Does Batman even see what's going on in the streets anymore or does he only see "big picture?"

Maybe one of the newer waves will have a Brave&Bold reboot, and a DC Comics Presents for Supes.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
