Why? Black panther got a wave dropped on his country he needs the win more. Besides anything will be an improvement over Namor losing to the thing underwater.

People were saying on Formspring that they could see Hickman using his last F4/FF issues to set up New Avengers. Any idea what they meant?

There was lots of stuff that could be fodder. Beyond what's already been mentioned there's the Burning Cycle. The Five Inhumans. But this one caught me eye for obvious reasons.



It's from Dr Doom's alternate universe, which he created with Infinity Gauntlet and his own special magics. He created these beings that ended up turning on him with the Infinity Gauntlet. Look familiar?

I can easily see it being Reed, Tony, and Hank for the Priests of Science and Strange, Namor, and Black Bolt for the Professors of Magic.

Sorry if I don't take your word for it. They're brothers... who occasionally try to kill each other, which actually fits Chuck's family structure, between Nova and Cain. But then, the one example of trust anyone can seem to bring up is when Chuck left Mags the school. Which was even longer ago, and how well did that end up? With Mags leading the Hellfire club and grooming the New Mutants to be his new Brotherhood.

Now granted, Chuck can be ridiculously stupid with the trust, but it's not like Mags hasn't betrayed him a few times in the past... remember how in House of M, apparently one of his great wishes was that Chuck was dead?

Plus there are 6 shadowed out figures in the New Avengers preview ( Plus one shadow that loos like a blob/non-humanoid). I could see them being involved in this.

How is it forced if they are on the team in Hickman's new incarnation. T'Challa was against the Illuminati but now he's the one to reform it?

D reason 4 d existence of d previous Illuminati is VASTLY different frm NOW....U CANT COMPARE A CIVIL WAR AMONGST HEROES(previous Illuminati) 2 AN INTER-UNIVERSE COLLISION(current Illuminati/nu NA). In d civil war scenario BP had 4sight beyond d rest enuff 2 know dat their actions wud b mo or less negligable if nt unnecessary but den when it cums 2 d collapse of d Multiverse...dat truely a problem worth d covening of d Illuminati.

All we/SZ can hope 4 now is 2 c d following...
