Jeff Parker is one of my favorite writers. He added on the character development of Rulk, and is doing the same for Betty Ross. I wasn't familiar with Machine Man until Jeff had him in the book and he's fantastic! I love Carlo Pagulayan's art.

    Can't wait to see Carol!

After reading this interview, I have decided to give this series a trial run. I did not understand where Parker was going with Betty, but now I have a better idea. I hope I will enjoy it enough to keep reading. I like Parker ( and miss not reading him.)

So, hopefully, Jeff will prove my initial misgivings wrong.

^ I hope so too, I think it's going to be an awesome run.

She already appeared in the last issue, and got scared once it was her turn to get hit.

That's great to know, Coldwarmyth. I remember when you were really excited at first for the series, and then interest just shot right down. Hopefully you like it. Something about Parker's 30.1 (I think it was) when he started on Red Hulk took me in, and from there it kept consistent and entertaining. Same thing here, with RSH's "first" issue being more on action but the follow up starting to lay down the tempo for the story to come.

Sounds like Parker has a solid story to tell and for the price, I will take the plunge.

I'll be reading them backwards as the first 2 issues won't arrive until the third week in December due to my bi-weekly subscription delivery. Also trying FF too, which I really liked because the characters were simply themselves and fun. If Jeff can make me feel the same way, great.

I've loved the two issues so far. Carlo's art is phenomenal too. :)

I am enjoying this. Can we get a Parker Machine Man series already? He steals the show everytime he pops up in this comic

Carlo and Alves art goes great together, and I love their stuff.

So yeah, I adore this book and will continue buying anything Parker writes for the foreseeable future.

Though, on Dark Avengers, I think it actually needs to focus on those characters instead of splitting the bill with the old Thunderbolts. But that could just be me.
I echo your words. I love how Jeff Parker handles Hulk-related characters like Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk. If they ever decided to do a Skaar series again they have to have Jeff Parker on it. He captures everything interesting about Hulk characters yet keeps it a mystery. Somehow he gets that vibe of a Hulk on the road that the old TV show had but mixes it with the super-hero filled world of the 616 Marvel Universe. I love the artwork on this series. This series needs more hype. Definately one of the best under-the-radar Marvel Now titles there is! By the way Jeff Parker is a really nice guy. You should all check out his site. Very friendly guy. Wish he could get a series on Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk cause I'm loving the way he handles Betty Ross and her alter ego. Nice that she isn't forced into super-heroics just because she is a Hulk and is blazing her own path. I'll eagerly follow wherever Parker takes her.
