Default Bruce Wayne's vanishing love interests

I went back and reread from the start of the new 52 in each of the Batman lines the last few weeks, and It seems like they have dropped a few women in and then they've just vanished. In the Dark Knight there was Jaina Hudson (white rabbit), then she was gone. Followed by a Ukranian Pianist named Nataysha, in Detective theres Charlotte Rivers. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but I'm wondering were any of these people present pre 52? I am not current on pre 52 for a few years so maybe they existed before and I just don't know it.

there's a plot twist coming where it's revealed that we've been reading from bruce's perspective, and when he thought he was beating his villains, he was really beating his love interests

OI believe these were just more temporary "love interests" created by the authors to tell the stories they wanted, then disposed of when someone else took over.

Not really much different than pre-New 52.

Didn't you know? Bruce Wayne does NOT do repeat performances...He's all about the hump and dump...
All stories are imaginary, so you get to decide what's important and what isn't. Continuity is fluid.

People shouldn't care about Bruce Wayne's love interest very much. They only stay for a short amount of time.

I think I've been reading comics too long because I've read Bruce Wayne buying a gun to see what it feels like and Batgirl digging up a corpse so NOTHING would surprise me anymore.

    Which is sad.

Batman brick walling a guy up to get rid of him was more shocking to me than Batman buying a gun. Batman going "that young crazy brainwashed assassin! He'd be perfect to replace me! Tim: watch him and train him."

    Batman's... full of crazy sometimes.
