Still super excited about this book. That Hastings cover is...interesting.

Hopefully seeing Flash's face in these previews will help assuage fears that everyone will have Frank's face.

It's definitely a different style, but after seeing several preview pages it's grown on me. It also isn't nearly as bad as I initially feared.

They met, but I am betting that Rulk didn't reveal his real identity. I'm pretty sure no one on his team will know his real identity until this book, actually. Rulk has been pretty protective of that info in the past (I haven't read more recent events though, so he may have softened on that stance in general).

The Minimum Carnage arc ended with Flash saying "We can't kill Carnage or we'll be just like him!"

Cue one week later and he's blowing apart people. CONTINUITY.

Only a very select few actually know that. It was part of Banners plan to put Ross in a place where everyone thought Ross the hero was dead, and to make sure his own reputation wasn't ruined, he couldn't afford also be known as the Red Hulk.
Not even sure any of the Avengers know besides Cap.

That's correct! Only Captain America, all the Hulks, Leader and MODOK know that Rulk is General Ross. I am very excited about this book.

For a moment I thought I had the variant in all existing Venom but realized it was not that.

I'm with low expectations with this title because of dillon. The drawings do not invite me to the plot.

Well, I honestly prefer the real Thunderbolts with Songbird, Radioactive Man and several classics.

As others have said Rulk's identity is unknown except to a select few like Cap,Doctor Strange and Machine Man.Hell,it would not surprised me if he keeps his identity as Ross a secret to the team.
About Venom killing,Im pretty sure what he meant by not killing Carnage was that he was defenseless at the time.I believe he has killed during Remender's tenure on his solo.
Art has grown on me so all that's left is to see if Way delivers the goods.

Pretty sure war time doesnt really count. He is a soldier after all and these pages would appear to be some kinda middle eastern conflict.
