Default "Guardians of the Galaxy" Director Under Fire for Superhero Sex Article

A push has begun online to convince Marvel Studios to fire "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn over objections to a nearly two-year-old blog post many view as misogynistic and homophobic. ROBOT 6 has details.

The internet is a dangerous place to be stupid. Nothing ever truly goes away. The comment about Stark 'turning' Batwoman were particularly sickening.

It Brings questions to the level of maturity of that Gunn guy indeed.

They should hire a worse director who never said anything offensive to people, will make for a better movie.

The more shocking thing about it is not that much how offensive or not it can be but the amazing level of stupidity of it really.

Someone really gave the guy a whole movie to direct ? I would be worry.

Ha! That was my exact thought.

Also, a petition of 44K isn't going to do much in the grand scheme of things, considering the millions of people who actually watch these big-budget blockbusters.

I can see how some people didn't see the humor in it (especially the Batwoman thing, which is out of line), it's pretty clearly not meant to be taken seriously. As if anyone really thinks anything Emma Frost wears is practical.
Currently reading She-Hulk, Deadpool, Swamp Thing, Ms. Marvel

Probation: Ghost Rider, Loki: LoA, Secret Avengers

Looking forward to All-New Ultimates, Flash Gordon and Doctor Mirage.

Oh I dunno. The Nightwing crack was pretty funny.

Did they move george lucas off the prequels because he included horrible racial stereotypes in phantom menace?
Because removing him from any sort of power may have made the prequels better.

It indeed would have been a good idea.

One joke about Nightwing or Emma Frost doesnt excuse the sexist comments, the homophobic comments. I dont care about the film itself but i think Gunn should be professionally hurt for being ignorant enough to post something like that.

The guy had a series of short films titled "PG Porn" and people are just now surprised to learn he is immature, juvenile, and misogynistic?? Come on, people.

Yea, so unfair how underwater-dwelling aliens are represented as bumbling fools who talk funny. Come on, you are reaching pretty far on that one.

Yet Michael Bay still directs movies. Where's the justice in that?
