someone please help me with my confusion?!?

In the Superman Returns, superman goes to Crypton, but how does he get there? as soon as he leaves our solar system/sector of space, he losses his powers because he is no longer getting his powers from the sun, so how does he manage to fly to crypton and back with in 6 years without any super powers, correct me if im wrong.. its just i need an answer!! its been on my mind for a while thanks :)

In Superman Returns, he had a space ship. You see it crash at the start of the movie when he returns. Actually, Superman keeps his power when he leaves our solar system. Our sun is just a start like all the others. So he can keep his powers when he leaves Earth as he still gets the power he needs from stars.

Clark needed a ship in the film because even with a hyperdrive, it takes three years to go from one planet to the other. He was able to do the round trip in five years, since it took two and a half years both ways. In the films, he cannot travel that far and if the planet had not been destroyed, then the sun would still be there and he would lose his powers as soon as he was near it. Hence he needed a ship, which he built in the Fortress.
