The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.
I hope he's not leaving. I love ST as written by him. Written by others not so much . . . . I'm very blah about Alan Moore's run.
I'd probably give a new writer a chance but its not a book I'd keep just for the character.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.
While I've really been enjoying Snyder's run on SWAMP THING, perhaps Matt Kindt would be brought on board if he left. I'd be pretty excited about that.
Kyle Reads Alpha Flight - A distinctly Canadian look at comics' premiere team of Canadian superheroes. Also: swearing and dick jokes.
I'd say he pretty much confirmed (indirectly) that he's leaving Swamp Thing in the interview the OP posted:
4 books, not 5. Batman, Superman, The Wake, and American Vampire...no Swamp Thing. And by the time we come back, I'll essentially be way ahead on Batman and Superman. I'm ahead now, but I'll be way ahead, hopefully. And I'll be far enough into The Wake, because Sean has a really meticulous drawing style, which is incredible and I love, that it will be staggered by the time we come back. What I mean is, I'll be far enough ahead on the books that it will be almost like having two books and not four at that point.
Actually American Vampire is on hold. So that might confirm he's staying.
In the context of the interview he's talking about American Vampire going on hiatus for ~6 months so he can get ahead on Batman, Superman, and The Wake. In the bit I highlighted he says when they come back from the hiatus it'll be like "having two books not four"...pretty sure he's counting American Vampire as one of the four.
Oh I see.
So yeah that seems to all but confirm it.
