Venom 27.1 (Spoilers and Discussion)

Worried for this title and its writer after what was a disappointing Carnage story. But he played off Remender's work nicely and captured his voice very well. Enjoying this supernatural angle but hope he doesnt lose the secret agent side that i feel wasn't quite fleshed out earlier in Remender run. He has a great host of supporting players and i hate to see other heroes coming in to bog that down. Glad he's moving so i don't have to worry about that.

While Minimum Carnage didn't live up to the hype for me, I can't blame the writer because this cross over was planned before he took over the title.
I think issue 27.1 is a great indication of he will handle Venom.

And I think (hope) the secret agent angle will be dissappearing since there is no one (governement or secret avengers) to keep the symbiote in check.

I hope he does stay on as a secret agent of some kind. Sure, no one can really control the symbiote, but they can find someone for it to control and be content with, which is what I think the point is with Flash. He's easy to manipulate on all sides.

Im certain hes gotten away from that at this point but it was a fun idea. It made the Crime Master arc fun and the Jack O Lantern rivalry interesting. Venom being a major part of the Marvel U, removes the credibility of him just keeping things to himself for everyone's safety. Moving also does this, but hopefully there will be a whole new supporting cast for Flash to take care of, and perhaps, some big demon dudes for him to wrassle. Want to see Venom taken back a notch, and grounded which is what the move to Philly must be about. Hopefully, they can just reintroduce the 'our government needs you Agent Venom', which is possible if you consider the Thunderbolts preview pages.
