I know that the old Blade movies are excluded from the current Marvel film continuity, and that X-Men seems to be treated as its own entity for the moment, but... I immediately had to think about Ryan Reynolds playing both Hannibal King and Deadpool.

By the by, Ryan Reynolds would make a cool Peter Quill.

It makes me sad that Lee Pace doesn't seem to be in the running any more. I was re-watching Pushing Daises lately and I would have loved him for the role. If anyone's seen "The Fall" Lee Pace is convincingly a swashbuckler in it and I feel he's just such a good actor that even if he doesn't look much like Quill, he would have convinced us he was through great acting. But I guess the casting director didn't see what I saw so maybe it was for the best with the direction they have planned.

Except that Blade is/was with New Line and X-Men is a 20th Century Fox property. Neither of which is under Marvels control, so neither would connect in an way with each other or the new Marvel Movie Universe. If Marvel were to get either Blade or X-Men back, and decide to incorporate them into their movie universe, they would be reboots.

I don't have a problem with Reynolds, but he hasn't been terribly successful in any of the superhero films he has done. And vice-verse. So I don't think he would get cast in a major tent-pole film like Guardians as a major character. But I could be wrong.

--Ludicris would be my choice...or 50 cent.
On Ryan Reynolds.... He reeks of femininity and only suits the jester roles in superherodom...I don't know how anyone looked at him and his body of work and said..."yea that's Hal Jordan".

To fill the roles for the 20 movies they are making, Disney is going to have to hire half of hollywood.
