I'd like to see Jack Huston as Dr Strange. Hedlund looks the part but isn't the best actor. Lee Pace and Eddie Redmayne would be good choices.
In war the elders may give the orders, but it's the young who have to fight.
Please, be will Lee Pace. Please. Please. PLEASE!!!!

Space is disease and danger wrapped in silence and darkness.
I was really looking forward to this movie until I heard director James Gunn's homophobic remarks today. He implied that Batwoman, a lesbian, needed a man like Tony Stark to set her straight. That kind of "MadMen" thinking is archiac. Also, he thinks Gambit is gay. Gambit isn't gay, but the fictional character is proving to be more of a man than Gunn is.
His lesbian remarks cleared up something I had been wondering about, though. Moondragon, Heather Douglas, is not in the movie and I could never understand why, especially since Drax is listed as a castmember, they were missing a good father/daughter conflict. Now, it's obvious to me why my favorite heroine is not in the film.

I personally think Moondragon, Phyla and Adam Warlock should be in GOTG 2. I'd love to see Nova in a GOTG film but I'd love to see him in his own movie first.

Your conspiracy theorist is showing.
It's highly unlikely that Gunn had anything to do with that choice. He's only the director, and as Marvel has shown in the past, it has no problem replacing individuals who aren't working out for their productions. Most likely they already knew the story they had in mind well before they closed in on Gunn.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
It's such a fake controversy.
If a gay actor/writer made a quip about how to turn Tony Stark, or Bruce Wayne, or a real person like Channing Tatum...nobody would flip shit over it.

Of those choices only Joel Edgerton makes sense because Star Lord seems like a grizzled blond tough guy. My first pick would be Max Martini. I like Lee Pace, but not for Star Lord, the key about him is that he has mysterious odd air about him and would fit well as Doctor Strange.
Kurt Busiek Says:"Best Avengers Run, Steve Englehart's run in the 1970s. With Roy Thomas's run that preceded it close behind, and the Conway/Shooter/Michelinie run that followed close behind that
Lee Pace would be a good choice. I really like Jack Huston as Richard in Boardwalk. Haven't seen much else from him beyond that and a beer commercial though. Edgerton is cool but has a tough, rough edge to him. Depends on what they are looking for in their Peter Quill I suppose.
so no Nathan Fillion![]()
Joel Edgerton for Star-Lord.
Vin Diesel for Drax!!!
But, on other news, I wonder how the latest James Gunn Controversy is going to play out along with this casting call.
