Not surprised, no. He's high-profile, features in many extra-comics mediums and has a great look and a great character background/opening run of stories.

Yeah, I heard about this earlier today but didn't even bother posting since I wasn't surprised in the slightest.

I will say that Slade came out of NetherRealm's redesign looking pretty decent -- head and shoulders above most of the game's characters, anyway -- and his fighting style seems to really suit him.

I must say, I'm not the biggest fan of Deathstroke, the only media I've ever liked him in was as 'Slade' in the Teen Titans cartoon voiced by Ron Perlman, but the design and fight style of him here is great!

Hmm, still hoping for someone truly surprising to be added to this, closest thing to that is possibly Cyborg but he's not so surprising with all the pushing DC is doing (save make him good in comics :S ).

I thought he was a good playable character in the MK vs DC game when it came out. He looks great in this Injustice trailer.
