Naga Sadow had a flagship, the Corsair, which had a machine that had to be operated by a Force sensitive and which could trigger supernovas. He used it two or three thimes during his escape, after the Sith defeat in the Great Hyperspace War.

Exar Kun found it in Yavin IV and made it his. Eventually, he gave it to a too ambitious underling (Droma's romantic interest at the time) and told her to go blow up a sun in a star cluster. Which she did. But the effect spread to the rest of the cluster, resulting in a multi-supernova blast.
