    Love the thread....

Nightcrawler dying and not coming back within 6 months? Seriously, what's up with that?

I dont think its fair to say any title has jumped the shark, since that implies the series should have ended. All it takes is a change of creators, and it can be a good book again, so the whole question of whether it jumped the shark is a moot one.

Nice post. I was about 10 minutes away from saying a similar thing, in that the thread title could be changed to say "dumbest comic moments." However, I'm sure there are actual titles that have jumped the shark and consequently ended. I'll think of one in a moment.

Wanda chained up the entire X franchise and took it over the shark with her. What the Avengers meant before and after Disassembled are two different things.

Not really, because a title can lose us. Many peek in or crawl back, but I don't "have to" read Cap ever again, for example.

The only thing that's jumped the shark is the term "Jumped The Shark". It's really rather silly to complain about this sort of thing in comics.
