Default Marvel Comics that have jumped the shark

    http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...umpingTheShark

For example, the revelation that Peter Parker was the clone and Ben Reilly was the original was a pathetic gimmick in a desperate attempt to keep the Clone saga storyline fresh and maintain the readers' interest.

THe quality of the crossover AvX (Avengers versus X-Men) went downhill after the divorce of Black Panther & Storm.

THe quality of the Iron Man, Thor and Avengers comics declined around the time when the Crossing began.

Deadpool as soon as Daniel Way got his hands on him.

Posehn is doing a really good job of redeeming Deadpool, though.

Thunderbolts became trash as soon as Diggle, left, as well.

Marvel comics jumped the shark when Reed Richards and company got powers. I mean, 4 misfits stealing a spaceship and getting superpowers? They don't even act like superheroes.

Joking aside, Marvel jumped the shark when they completely sidelined Blue Marvel.

IMO AvX jumped the shark when the P5 came into existence. Even the group name sounds over the top.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

Any comic featuring the Gravage Hulk personality and Indestructible Hulk. Also, add in Thunderbolts (NOW) and Red She-Hulk.

I'd be curious as to how these have 'jumped the shark' (especially considering that the new Thunderbolts hasn't even come out yet).

My general feeling is that these are comics, and ridiculousness is the bread and butter of the industry. There is no shark to jump.

Deadpool jumped the shark for me when he transitioned from cold-blooded mercenary with a sense of humor to bugs bunny.

We will remember it someday as the day The Avengers movie crossed 1 billion dollars.

    When Way took over Deadpool.
Fraction on Thor (in particular the issue when Thor turns into some metal demon god)

    - Cap jumped the shark when he came back from death
    - the X-Men jump the shark every two or three months. BEAST time traveling to bring back the O5? No bueno
    - Spider-Man jumped the shark when it turned out Ben was the clone and Aunt May was just an actress
    - Avengers jumped the shark when one of their charter members destroyed an entire race

Spiderman jumped the shark when they killed Ben and brought back Peter!
Avengers, Cap, Thor, and Iron Man all with Heroes Reborn (I liked the Crossing )
    X-Men: Chuck Austen. The Draco.
And Nova is literally poised to do it as soon as issue one hits

Hell, he turned into a frog once. Isn't metal demon god a step up?
