The ones sunbathing - is that Sam and Bobby? And if so...what the *$%# did Bobby do to his hair? ._.

Auuugh Opena is so gorgeous, though. Nice pages to preview - a whole lot of characters being spotlighted.

Looks fantastic. Issue 2, at least in part, seems to feature some recruitment scenes. I see Wolverine, Spider-Man, Eden Fesi, Sam and Bobbi and Carol and Jessica. Is that Falcon on the rooftop and Shang Chi training in the background while Tony works?

Yes, to all of the above.

Maybe I'm missing something, but is that...Gateway?

Edit: Nevermind. Afterlooking up Eden Fesi (Whom I was unfamiliar with), I realize that's him, not Gateway.

Between Jerome Opena Here, Esad Ribic on Thor, John Cassady and olivier coipel on uncanny avengers, Leinil Francis Yu on hulk, Steve Epting on New Avengers..... The Majority of The avengers and avengers characters books are in fantastic artistic hands (the exceptions of course are greg land on ironman, and to a surprisingly lesser extent John romita jr on cap)

In fairness, I think Marvel's due some credit in the sense of assigning Land to Iron Man. If you're going to employ the guy, Iron Man's about the best fit I can think of for him.

I'm not a mass JRJr fan, but I've loved the first Cap issue. A couple of the panels have been perfect, and his story telling for such a compressed story has been nearly spot-on (I think there's one panel that's a bit confusing when Cap escapes, but that's it.)

Agreed. I'd take Cassaday out of there though. His art is kinda just meh for me, but Leinil, Jerome and Esad are all killing it on their books. And for the record I'm not a John Romita Jr. fan at all as I hated his work on AvX but the first issue of Cap was beautiful. He improved significantly since then.
