Eww announce a new artist please! I really want to read this book so bad but I can't.
"You wouldn't like me when I'm happy" - Bruce Banner
@Kalorama : Thanks for the info bro ;)
Is it me or the armor on the back looks a loooot to MCU Movies' armors ?
The art's not too horrible in these few pages. At least Tony's face looks human. But the dialogue is very unnatural--the conversation between the drug lord and his daughter is just. It feels wrong and weird and I love Gillen, absolutely, but I think maybe he's wrong for this book. Idk, it feels off.
Nope, still don't buy the excuse of the downgrade. It doesn't look advanced against the armored enemies in #2. It doesn't feel effective as the past armors starting Extremis. The new armor is not impressive at all as it doesn't feature anything new.
Mr Gillen, I advise you to advance IM tech. Repulsor is getting stale. The source of inspiration is of course Star Trek (or any scifi series for that matter). Photon Torpedo makes way to Quantum Torpedo. So will Repulsor be replaced with something new.
I'm sorta getting used to Land's art, don't like his females, but I haven't been exposed to enough of his art where I can see, say, Pepper Potts looking exactly like every other female character he has drawn in others books.
It does but artists having been using the movie helmet, for example, for the armor since the waning days of the Extremis armor, maybe it is easier to draw or something, but I've seen it seen slapped on the Classic Armor and it sure as hell influenced the look of the Bleeding Edge armor.
Current Pulls:
Iron Man, Aquaman, Avengers, Batman, Captain America, Captain Marvel, East of West, Journey into Mystery, New Avengers, Talon
third time in a row that a Gillen issue has opened with Pepper just hanging around Tony, groaning over his excesses. Doesn't she have better things to do, or is she just that co-dependent?
I quite enjoyed the first two issues and am looking forward to this one as well
Land's are doesn't bother me as much as it seems to irk many on these boards.
There certainly seems to be a push to make the comic gel more with the movie version of Iron Man, but in this case, that's just fine in that the movies provided a version of the character I much preferred.
In KG I trust...

The art doesn't really look bad here.
In fact, it looks quite good.
The South American girl doesn't have the normal Land look which is a good thing.
Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison
Land's art will maybe look better with another colorist , for example , JRJR's art looks better with Dean White ...
