Oh, that was a nuance I missed in your first reply. I assumed Ra's knew even in the old DCU. That's something pretty major to hide from him. At the time they made Damian, was Ra's still on the "Talia gotta get with Bruce" train or had he rescinded his offer to the detective at that point? (I mean, I know he was "dead" and all, but I don't know what his stance on Bruce was at the time...)

I'm not talking about when she was killed. Ra's didn't mention her as an heir because he's sexist, she was created later, and because she left him. She ended up as his successor, anyway. Talia wasn't wicked enough.

I don't think it was confirmed that he was artificially aged in the pre-flashpoint DCU, as far as I'm aware that was only ever a fan theory.

There weren't enough years for him to be naturally born and normally aged. And we saw other tube-babies pre-Flashpoint. And, I'm pretty sure B&R says flat out he was genetically engineered from the best of both parents, which implies at least severe tinkering if not outright plastic womb baby.

I got the impression that Talia didn't want to carry the baby to term and raised it artificially outside of the womb. There's no real evidence that Damian was artificially aged, only that he was not born naturally. Now, his 'brother' on the other hand....that would be another story.

There's nothing is the Old DCU that says or even hints that Damian was artificially aged... And there was a lot more years pre-Flashpoint to work with than there are now.
