Yep. Palpatine blasted Maul a couple of times and then said that he won't kill him, because he has a use for him. Then poured on the pain again.

so much dual-weilding lightsaber combat! damn!

Ahsoka seems to have gotten herself in quite the pickle.

I know Filoni loves the Thrawn Trilogy and they were mentioned there first.

Yeah, what's up with that? I missed the whole freaking Darth Maul Arc because I had a few good friday nights. That's some BS schedule. .
...And does Mr. Goddanm Batman says so much as ''Thanks''? OF COURSE not. That'd hardly be GRIM AND GRITTY, would it?

Cartoon Network was trying for a return of the classic, old Saturday morning cartoons. From what I've read, Clone Wars only had a minimal drop in ratings due to the shift. But, yeah, adults liked watching them in prime time.

That season finale trailer was really something.

I've caught a few episodes in the morning. I'm used to waking up early, so it's not really a problem.

I haven't seen season 5 yet (Still working on season 4) but has there been any hints of the Death Star? We know the plans are in Sidious/Palpatine's hands from AOTC, and of course we see it under construction at the end of ROTS. So I'm curious if this arc will deal with it in some way; how Tarkin got control of the project, for instance. Sure there's an EU backstory in place that pretty much implied the Death Star was Tarkin's idea from the start, but the prequels and Clone Wars pretty much contradicted that so far.

How did the prequels contradict it? The most we have is from Ep2 where they give the plans to Dooku and then ep3 where we(I think) see Palpy looking at the Death Star plans before Anakin comes in to tell him about Obi Wan beating Grievous(where he finds out Palpy is a Sith).

Well, having the Death Star be something Palpatine is working on well before Tarkin enters the picture kinda contradicts any implication that the Death Star was Tarkin's idea from the start, doesn't it?

Here is the long EU explanation:

The Darth Plegious book explains it some as well.
