sex and violence content suggestions

It doesn't have to be crazy graphic, but i'm looking for comics that have a balance of both, and generally not played for laughs. I'm posting this here, because I figure indie comics is probably the best source for this type of thing.

The Walking Dead is about the best fit i've found. It's not a lot of sex, but it seems realistic, and the dynamics of post apocalyptic survival give it some interesting encounters.

I've read 'the boys' and it's a little comedy heavy, but also pretty close. Probably second best. I've read vol1 of preacher, the pro, and jennifer blood, but they were all pretty bland to me.

'girls' by the luna brothers was decent enough. Empowered is good, but again, too much comedy.

All the zenescope grimm line is too 'pg strip club' and bores me terribly.

I guess I'm looking for the comic book equivalent of the sopranos or game of thrones or californication(showtime), if such a thing exists.

I feel like there's gotta be more stuff i'm missing. Ideally looking for titles available in either trades, or digitally.

Conan and Hack/Slash are pretty good. Tbh, I think that the Before Watchmen stuff from DC is the best mature stuff on the stands right now. The Shadow is rated 17+... does it have sex and violence?

If you're not adverse to Marvel - though I can't speak for the quality of my suggestion - and judging by your signature you're not, I can recommend X-Force Vol 3, where the team is Wolverine, Warpath, X-23 and some others. It's a violent comic, and it had a spin-off for a few issues called X-Force: Sex & Violence (with Wolverine and Domino).

I'm not sure what else to suggest, though.

read that. I was a big fan, but marvel violence usually never feels very real to me, it's all explosions and people knocked around, but not much lasting violence. The wolverine/domino mini was interesting, definitely something i don't see marvel do normally.

Sin City?
How violent do you want it? Things get pretty violent in some of these comics, although the more violent they get the more I tend to think it's done for humors sake, kind of parodying the violent comics that take themselves more seriously. Same with sex. There's flat out pornographic comics out there.

Anyway. I think Heavy Metal may have a decent mix of both.

Off the top of my head, apart from those already mentioned.

Also I guess a bunch of Millar would fit. Kick Ass and its spinoffs. Nemesis. Superior. Etc Millar fluff.

I checked out hacknslash and liked it. I've got my work cut out for me with the rest. Thanks for all the suggestions, at least now I have some catalog to work through.
