Just read New Avengers #2... Imo, it was an excellent read. I would have really like it, if issue #1 an #2 was combined,
but aside from that small detail if the quality writing and artwork continues, I'm be getting this for the long run...

If storm and BP want to work things out that's fine. But like someone ewlse said, put it in the hands of a writer that cares about both of them and treats each of them with respect. No more of this one-sided crap we've gotten lately. Both characters have alot on their plate and if it's a natural instance where their paths cross, that's great. But this forced scene of the chess game smacks of trolling on the part of the writer. I want to see both characters do well in their respective titles.

One more thing, to some concerned posters, BP fans do not hate Storm or Storm fans so let that myth die. We just don't like BS being so freely slung around.

I think there was. Especially considering there are other young Wakandans with brilliant minds, such as Onome, who is in the Future Foundation. She may have been ineligible for that same contest that N'Kono and the others won due to her already being in the FF, or perhaps due to her age, meaning she isn't allowed to compete yet. As Vic Vega stated, losing those three young Wakandans is definitely a blow and a huge loss of potential, but with Onome, I think it can be assumed that there may be other young Wakandans with brilliant minds.

Maybe you should ask Jonathan Hickman about that hyperbole thing then.

Nothing to debate, just general curiosity. Often times in comics, a fight is shown to start, but we as readers are not always shown the entire fight. Since this comic seems to jump from the past to the present, one can also assume that there might be a chance that there is more to the fight than just T'Challa one-shotting her.

I understand what you're saying but to me, what was on the page was pretty clear.

T'Challa is superhuman now based on the enhancements Jonathan Hickman has imbued him with so under the circumstances, I feel all the action was clearly on display.

HAHA!! Wow...who does T'Challa mean when he says "not him"? Logan?? Why would he expect Logan..did she talk about him when they were together? And I don't expect a man as intelligent as him to ask an obvious, bating question like "are you seeing anybody right now" which any man worth his salt should know that is a question not to ask...it's really too pedestrian of him...and to some fans it's going to make him look like a chump and hypocrite since he annulled the marriage.

I was able to enjoy a bit the consequences issue even though it was short it was cute and at least had them ending on decent terms, but they really should be taking some time away from each other...I can't believe this is the same person currently writing Thor...

Well I'm glad someone other than myself has noticed the discrepancy in the quality of Jason Aaron's writing in relation to his continued disrespect towards T'Challa.

Aaron's work on Thor clearly illustrate that he is a writer of substance with something worth checking out which makes the tripe he's penning featuring T'Challa and ororo all the more rancid.

I cannot for the life of me, fathom why T'Challa is now all of a sudden, appearing interacting with Storm in an X-related book when prior to the annulment of their marriage, Marvel and a majority of the X-Writers couldn't do enough to keep the two characters seperate?

I'm trying to ascertain why the sudden change as well--quite strange. Seems to be slanted in Logans direction at T'challa expense.

I believe that some writers are really trying to troll BP. Haven't seen this much T'Challa in an X-related book since Wild Kingdom. And haven't seen an accurate portrayal since then as well.

My two cents?

I wish the X-office would stop with all this nonsense. They have Storm. Notice how Hickman is ignoring Storm completely? Tom Brevoort has pretty much washed his hands of her. It's over, simple as that. Move on. Aaron pretty much a full on a X-crony at this point. T'challa has bigger fish to fry then worring about what Storm is doing. Let him be, he's doing great in the flagship title he is the focal point of---and let her do whatever she is doing in her various roles in the X-books and that includes Logan. It's like he's throwing red meat to the haters. Meanwhile, readers such as I--whom became fans because of his short arc on Black Panther are beginning to turn a side to him--if they haven't already. This is nothing new--he's done this before and got a pass. Not this time.

Either they go all out and support them together finally (like not crapping on Hickman's plans to have her as a supporting character in NA's) or just move on. I don't mind them talking, but not when you have to blatantly write T'challa out of character to achieve the X-office version of pretty little liars.

Agreed! At least Bendis is making an attempt of crafting something new and enticing. The other x-writers are using every trick to appease some of there readers, most of which are Bp unfans.

It's pathetic If you ask me--long term is practically damaging--more so for Storm, rather then the character they are trying to tear down. The sub-text--is pretty blantantly seen and Storm being connected to that is bad--especially with certain fans that Storm as a woman of color needs as fans. If a solo is something they ever want to explore--if they want little black girls to want to wear Storm t-shirts and Cos play her like you see the new Captian Marvel. The Negitive stigma connected to the sub-text is something Marvel should be more aware of.

Looking at what is being done with T'Challa, Marvel would do well to attempt the same with Storm. But it seems they're happy with her current position in the X-Men hierachy when she should have emerged as the clear-cut leader after AvX.

Look what Hickman has accomplished with BP so far:
Instant high profile on a premier title.
Stories that impact the entire MU.
Stories that have depth, where fans eagerly anticipate the next move.
Restored his status as one of Marvel's elite characters.
A member of one of the most powerful groups in the MU.

These are the things that BP fans have been asking for and now we finally have it.
