I wonder will Wakanda annex any adjacent territories. Hmm...
re: Marvel Africa, it has never been addressed just who were the indigenous residents of Genosha, and why you never really saw blacks there..
Is NA #1 dropping next week or the week after?
I've been meaning to bring this back up for a while. A few months back I talked about writer Mat Johnson as a possible candidate to write BP down the road or a character/title that deals with race. At the time I had just ordered his latest book titled PYM. Well...update:
I highly recommend Pym. It is action, it is adventure, it is very intelligent and it actually tackles "blackness," slavery, etc. head on...literally. Plus Mat makes a very cool reference to Wakanda itself in one of the later chapters. I will have to find that blurb but it was cool and gave me a "ah ha, I knew it" moment. Mr.M - check it out man. Greg, Brandon, Flex, Marv, Kid K, Ro, Flo, Genki, SZ, my fellow DD superfan FriendRoss, Vic, Froggy, Moose, CBR's Wakandan fans - check it out if you get a chance or catch a sweet amazon deal. It addresses a lot of issues within the narrative of an arctic adventure (into vast whiteness). In closing, the guy is a strong writer and a joy to read. He's done a few graphic novels that were well received too, Incognegro being the most well known.
Here is a NYT review of the book from 2011 (spoilers)

I hope this series doesn't fall prey to a big crossover, like the previous NA series.

Someone asked the question in his Q and A...JH said "no".
Not that they can't, but I do not understand why Marvel Editors will want to derail Hickman's story arcs...which tend to complex and far reaching...by making him write to accommodate their stupid events. As evidenced by his SHIELD, SW, F4 and FF...Hickman is one writer who is best left to his own devices without distractions and detours.

Honestly, if there was an event Id think it would be spearheaded by Hickman. That's something I would like to see.
