Sometimes you can't win with comic fans. "The Avengers never care about the X-Men!" and then when they DO it's "it's so contrived!!!11!1!". Seriously, if all you do is complain about comics and digging through decades of continuity to find some sort of contradiction with stories of today then stop reading them. It's embarassing to see so many whiny fans sometimes.
Thor looks awesome in this. A bunch of people just died. He gets pissed. Makes sense to me. I was considering dropping this book to save some money, but I might stick around for this now.
I'm reminded of post AvsX when a tread was started here asking when the Avengers didn't try to help the X-men and the entire forum couldn't figure out a single moment when the Avengers weren't willing to help. The only reasons they aren't there usually involves the X-men not bothering to ask for help or the situation happening so fast that the Avengers wouldn't have been there in time anyway even if they came asap.
The Mutant massacre was mutant on mutant violence. Yes Thor was pissed but how would that have been an indictment of the way humans treat mutants to him?
When was Thor seeing concentration camps? THe only ones I know of were neverland and genosha. As far as he knew that got dismantled and Genosha had a full on revolution right when it even came out that there were mutants being enslaved.

The art looks rushed, but it's a nice preview.
"Waves are but water. Wind but air. And though lightning be fire...yet it must answer thunder's call."
Those details are really academic at this point since all Thor was told was by the Marauders was that they were mutants. Mr. Sinister isn't the best example for anti-mutant problems either given that he's been actively making more of them for centuries.
After all these years and all that's happened, yes it's contrived.
Avengers saying that they suport mutant rights in interviews and refusing to work for the government if they start another antimutant program, would have been much more helpfull than the Uncanny Avengers.
