    Twilight.

    Mostly slash.

    If that isn't redundant.

If Emma wants a guy like Peter, Bobby needs the character development desperately.

Peter/MJ 4 evar. And NO, I'm NOT over OMD.

MJ is a cow, but this proposed combo sucks.

Johnny Storm and Iceman are already a pairing.

    Also Gwen is MJ's superior.

    From a movie perspective. I don't read Spider-Man.

Kirsten Dunst is awful. And Emma Stone had far more personality.

The movies flipped their attitudes. In the comics, MJ was the strong, positive, can-do heroine-in-civvie-clothing while Gwen was the passive-aggressive clingy bint.

Nothing against Kirsten Dunst, this is all on Raimi and the scriptwriters of the original trilogy for making such a godawful mess of my favorite regular human in the MU.

MJ as far as I'm aware was never clever and going places though. She had to rely on a modelling career.

She wanted to perform, to act and dance. That's still ambition, just of a different kind. She was more interested in having fun and enjoying life, by and large. Nothing wrong with that.

That's the thing though Gwen was on Peters level of intelligence. She could communicate with him on that level. MJ is not.

Not intellectually, but MJ is both assertive enough and understanding enough to deal with Peter's emotional retardation due to teen trauma. Gwen, outside the movie, never was...she treated him like dirt half the time because he wouldn't pay enough attention to her, and she never learned his secret. By contrast, MJ figured it out on her own.

Sue Storm would also be assertive and understanding, but that doesn't mean she hasn't been taken for granted over the past 50 years. It's not and will probably never be an equal relationship.
