Anyway that was over a month ago and still my account shows everything I subscribed to that is currently in print still in processing. Of course my subscriptions to Uncanny X-men and Guardians of the Galaxy will be in held in process til they are actually released but Avengers and New X-men are out and shipping yet there is no sign that my account is actually active and I'll get these comics in the next year or two.
I was a print subscriber for years. One thing I'd say is the customer service is pretty solid. Sounds like they screwed up and I might give them a call and try to straighten it out. The big thing I picked up on is that the service reps don't seem to know anything about comics so they might just be confused. They were always nice and issues were handled quickly.

Oh and in roughly 3 years of being a subscriber I had to call around 6 or 7 times. It is just the reality of it unfortunately. I'd get sleeves opened with no books and crazy stuff.

Also never in my life received books slower or in worse condition. I had a mail lady who used to just destroy my books too. She would fold them to fit in my little tiny apartment mailbox. Pissed me off like something fierce.

Couldn't beat the price back then though! And not having a local comic store made it the perfect fit.

I'm still waiting on #698. I got issue 699 Christmas Eve. I called and was told 698 shipped late and I should see it this week. Then I finally got... 699.1. But that was last week, so I knew I had to wait. Then Wednesday I got it! Wait... this is too thick. 700? So now I'm stuck in my spoiler-avoidance bubble, sitting on 3 issues until I buy it? Wait for it to arrive?
I emailed today at lunch and got the "experiencing a lot of email" auto response.

Subscriptions are a GREAT discount, but between waiting at least an extra month for each issue to arrive, getting newer issues before older ones, receiving damaged issues or having them lost in the mail, having to constantly call to replace damaged and lost issues, and having to wait a month or more to avoid spoilers on the internet, I can definitely see why people just go ahead and bite the bullet and pay full price at LCSs, even at a ridiculous $3.99 a pop. That's what I do now. I had to let all my subscriptions run out anyway because I am in the process of moving and I know calling to explain that and trying to get all my titles straightened out and sent to a new address in a timely manner would REALLY be a pain in the butt.

Last time I subscribed I was in the late 80's. It was that horror show that kept me from subscribing again until now. Without fail I could count on at best any of my 80's subscription comics to be mildly mutilated with huge folds and tears and at worst to have huge gouges all the way through as if someone had taken a screwdriver to them. Its with massive trepidation that I await my new subscriptions should they ever come someday in the far future. Seriously, I subscribed a month ago. Two issues of Avengers have shipped since then yet my account still shows no activity on the Avengers front except "issues in process" which its shown for weeks now. Three issues of All New X-men have come out in that time yet only one "issue in process." Huh! How does the book thats shipped more frequently have less issues in process? And which issues? Did I waste $4 today buying All New X-men #5, the least they could do is tell me which issues in process.

Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.
