Default Arkham City on Wii U

Anyone planning to get this? I wil be buying the Wii U today for Black Friday shopping, and this version of Arkham City looks so cool. The controller is basically the utility belt and bat-computer now.

    The short answer is yes.

The long answer is "but only because I don't already have it or a system that it has already been released on, and I always get Nintendo consoles, so eventually I'll have a Wii U." Strictly speaking I guess the Wii tablet stuff doesn't help or hinder, some functions are better, some are gimmicky, but the version has all the bonus DLC packed with it, plus the new armor modes. Not a bad way to go if you missed out on this game, or strictly speaking, if you missed out on it because you loyally buy Nintendo stuff but aren't a hardcore gamer.

The game apparently has some frame rate issues, probably because the Wii U has some seriously gimped ram speeds. The aggregate review score is markedly lower than the previous versions.

I would say that for people absolutely dead-set against getting a Sony or Microsoft console, this version will at least be better than nothing. And anyone with even a passing interest in Batman needs to play this excellent game. But frame rate issues can kill the immersiveness of an open world game for me, so I'd definitely recommend getting one of the other two consoles' versions over WiiU.

I had it for the ps3 but my brother sold it, and I think getting it for the wii U could be fun so ya, maybe. I played it at E3 last year and it was fun, using the wii pad for the game was great.

If you're dead-set on playing Arkham City, get it for the PS3 or 360. It plays better on those systems and it's cheaper.

Also, if your PC can handle it, it plays better on that too. By all accounts, the WiiU version is the worst.

Am I the only person here who still hasn't played this? I played the first one for ten minutes or so at a friends house, just walked around a dark empty building but it was cool as hell. I know I'm missing out, hard, but really the only reason I'd ever have a console in the house would be to play this and/or a Zelda game and the guy whose machine I was going to borrow traded away his copy already
