I'm leaning toward limiting myself to my 12 favorite Atlas Seaboard series.
OK, maybe not.
It sure would truncate the winnowing process, though.

I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.

The geek in me realised this after I had made my original post.
However, that was decidedly inferior incarnation of the series, and will not be making my list. (The b&w art did not do the title any favours.)
But I did just realise I there's Ms. Tree series that qualifies.
In the immortal words of Gary Friedrich, you tempt me, my dear, truly you do.
There are at least two Atlas/Seaboard titles on my shortlist.
While I'm posting: aren't we lucky that the little lightning bolt did not exclude anything published in the first half of the sensational 'seventies?

As soon as the rules come down by Herr Cei-U, it's research time. But I'm jotting down lots of stuff and I'm amazed how many short lived series I own.
Sadly no Atlas/Seaboard but there's a Skywald run or 2 that's on the potential 12.
"If you live among wolves you have to act like a wolf."
Indeed. I was initially concerned that I'd have a tough time filling out a list, since planned miniseries (as opposed to prematurely cancelled runs) were pretty much unheard of in my day (i.e. up through '78), & I didn't think I'd done too great a job in filling in the relevant gaps from my ensuing 25-year hiatus ...
Hah! At the moment I've got something like 45 viable contenders, going purely by off-the-top-of-my-head memory, with no research whatsoever involved except for checking number & date of final issue. Real research, I fear, will take going through dozens & dozens of short boxes ...
I've also got a tentative list, at this writing, of probably at least 10 promising possibilites to take along with me to read during next weekend's scheduled holiday trip to & from SW Arkansas/NW Louisiana.

I think this is a great topic.
I wrote a couple of columsn along these lines a couple of years ago. Not all qualify, but I'll likely go back to the well.

Forgive me if this has been asked, but is the 'Starts with a #1' rule still in place?
I ask because so many series in the 40s and 50s have odd numbering (I blame mostly Charlton!)

Cool! The first column, in particular, features 2 that I'd already thought of (although, oddly enough, Bat Lash didn't occur to me till last night; E-Man was one of the first I thought of back when I learned of this year's topic) & reminds me of another solid contender, which has the same title as an even more solid contender that hadn't occurred to me till I saw that.
