You know Badou, if you think its 'the way comics are now' that characters can't evolve, you might more accurately have put it 'it's the way DC comics is now'. Creator owned products have no issue, nor many other indie books, or even a fair few Marvel books, particularly in the X-line and Ultimate universe. Spiderman sadly regressed Peter Parker decades a few years back, and the Avengers can never move too far from several core builds.
The reboot changed my Robin love hierachy. From Damian > Tim > Jason > Dick to Jason > Tim > Damian > Dick.

Yeah, I guess that is true. Probably should have said most traditional superhero comics or something to be more accurate. I do follow quite a bit of Independent titles and manga. So I shouldn't damn the whole medium.
Although while I am a X-Men fan and their stories are moving forward, because of all the retcons it is difficult to figure out where they are even moving from sometimes. :p
