Good choice! Welcome on board the Hawkeye train!

I will say that, I hope Fraction doesn't shy away from the fact that kate likes to date black guys,
I'm guessing that Lady_A's assertion that "she like's older men" is in response to this point... One black man isn't really a preference, while there have been indications that she's into older/mature men both on the page and by various writers responsible for the character. The latter is also consistent with the portrayal of her character as respecting focus, decisiveness, professionalism, and accomplishment above other traits... Traits which Eli noticeably amplified around her until his actions in Latveria.

I think it would be cool if she still stayed in touch with Patriot (which would be in character) even if it is over between them, that would be a nice nod to continuity imo.
I doubt this would happen, simply because Fraction is focused on avoiding continuity. He doesn't want to bring Clint's brother into the story in order to avoid requiring knowledge of backhistory.
Primary pulls: X-Factor, Hawkeye, Young Avengers, Avengers Arena, X-Men: Legacy, Uncanny X-Force, FF, Archer and Armstrong

And though I wouldn't mind seeing Eli show up here or there, I think the whole 'avoiding the stringency of continuity' is a good approach that helps the book maintain it's fresh, dun flavor.
Were Mockingbird, or Trickshot, or Crossfore, or even Spider-Woman to show up... it wouldn't be long before Hawkguy started feeling like just another Avengers spin-off book..

I said, "she likes" not, "she prefers" black guys, Lady_A said she repeatedly prefered older guys, which isn't true at all because thinking two older guys (come on, marvel boy doesn't count as an older guy) are hot, sounds about right for an 18 girl who, at times, hangs around a bunch of older men, but what we do know that's fact, is Eli was her first true love, and the only guy she was in a real relationship with, which was by no means a mistake, it was by choice, because she obviously felt like Eli was hot too...

    That's rather unfortunate....

Ps...it's been a long day (working two jobs) can someone fix this mess of a post I just made, lol
