Is this series worth getting and how long is it? Comixology has 1-12 on sale fr .99

Not a fan of Bendis but I have been reading Moon Knight since the 70's and while this wasn't the best rendition of MK, it certainly wasn't the worst. I enjoyed it for the most part and would have liked to see it continue.
I'd say that if you're interested in it and enjoy Bendis' writing, you should check it out and form your own opinion.

If you've never read Moon Knight before you may like it but personally aside from the art I didn't really enjoy his take on the character and dropped it after the first 6 issues.

It was surprising to me because I usually tend to like Brian's street level stories and this seemed like a good fit conceptually but I didn't think he did anything to Marc that made him stand out and the Avengers tie-in was pretty forced.

If you've never read Moon KNight before and have no attachments to him, then this series will probably be ok.

If you are a long term fan of Moon Knight, this is probably the best example of Bendis fulfilling his negative reputation of ignoring the past and re-writing characters.
