That Gold Coast scene was excellent. I was transported back to Queensland 2001, copping a glass bottle in the head for my choice of hairstyle.

In All-New X-Men, there will be a stronger focus on the original five.
I really have to wonder WHO decided on the oxymoronic name for this book.

Am I imagining it, or is Newsarma getting most of the breaking interviews and news, now?

I feel sorry for any genuine X fans at Marvel these days.

And I will never understand the contempt so many of their staff have for what was the finest superhero team ever - yes, better than the Justice League of America!

The curbstomping bit was spot on, but the slang was dreadful. I don't know if Bendis has actually ever spoken to a teenager.

I also gave it points for the cashed-up-bogans complete w/ obnoxious kitted import.

I looks like Lowe and Bendis might just make a good team, Bendis working with an editor that will bother to defend the characters might just work out well.

New Zealand and Australia mentioned in same sentence, then Lowe refers to country in the singular?
For all his virtues, he has made a powerful enemy today.
I would like to say for the record that this is the FIRST TIME I've withheld dong when someone was so desperately asking for some.

Nrama: ...How do things break down between Wolverine and the X-Men, Uncanny X-Men and All-New, with all three essentially being flagship-level books?

Lowe: Those are our three main X-Men books...
I noticed that ANX will become releasing monthly after its first arc, but WatXM and Bendis' new UXM will release fortnightly. Hmm… probably means nothing. And I believe balancing the original the-only-"heroes"-were-Avengers event was attributed toward Lowe's efforts.

I was hoping she's just be called Sheila. With the mutant power to turn her chest into a barbeque.

I liked #1! Pleasantly surprised, actually. I was thinking Bendis on X-Men might be a disaster, but I'm happy to say the first issue proved me wrong. So far I'm interested to see where this is going and feel Bendis might be a bit Claremontian, even.

Nick Lowe is the X-guy! Such a perky dude and the antithesis to Tom Brevoort. :P
