Nick Lowe is a cool dude. I can imagine him trying to reason with some of the monsters at Marvel who are intent on destroying the X-men. I don't know how he does it.

I feel sorry for any genuine X fans at Marvel these days.

And I will never understand the contempt so many of their staff have for what was the finest superhero team ever - yes, better than the Justice League of America!

Lowe: Those are our three main X-Men books...

I noticed that ANX will become releasing monthly after its first arc, but WatXM and Bendis' new UXM will release fortnightly. Hmm… probably means nothing. And I believe balancing the original the-only-"heroes"-were-Avengers event was attributed toward Lowe's efforts.

I liked #1! Pleasantly surprised, actually. I was thinking Bendis on X-Men might be a disaster, but I'm happy to say the first issue proved me wrong. So far I'm interested to see where this is going and feel Bendis might be a bit Claremontian, even.
