It really was. It was just the ending that fell somewhat flat and it still delivered some pretty classic moments.

That being said, it was pretty damn funny to watch the marks turn on the Dark X-Men.

Nobody liked his run, no- except CBR, that gave glowing reviews almost every issue; I'll bet 500 internet dolars that his average score was higher than Gillen's.

But, yeah, the Dark X-men thing was hilarious.

Basically, some people were really buying the "Emma is EVIL now! She's really siding with Osborn! She's betraying the X-men!", for reals.

Blech. The only thing cool about it is that he used all the best villains. I liked it becuz it had Spiral in it. I know. Dumb reason for liking it, but I like all Spiral stories except the ones in Marvel Fanfare.

I liked Fraction's run. I only have 2 real complaints:
1.) Mercury being unused during the Preditor X arc when they were MADE FROM HER SKIN. And she defeated them before by recalling her skin from their bodies.
2.) Him incorrectly calling Tessa by the name of Selene in the Annual flashback, and he has since admitted his mistake.

IMO Land's porn-stylized art is what made the women all seem like bimbos. Had they got better artists, I don't think it would've been as panned. It almost seemed like Fraction scripted the dialogue to fit Land's art on Land's issues.

I was actually referring to how some posters hailed the Dark X-Men as the salvation of Utopia/Fraction's run. Cause, you know, Cyclops wasn't in it and it would therefore be awesome.

dark x-men was great guys. it brought in one of the greatest x-men of all time, namor the sub-mariner.

While that first part may be true, I remember people (myself included) being initially interested in it due to Mystique posing as Jean Grey. But, Cornell made Mystique cry at the end of the book and lost us all.
