I can't wait to get better quality images than what we have already.

I think you're wrong. I think this will be the poster seen on bus stops. I think this is part of a campaign by WB, trying to tell the general public this movie won't be what they expect from a Superman movie.

That's weak. But, hey, we get a new trailer with The Hobbit.

Here's a collage I made from the San Diego Comic-Con footage. Mods, I apologize if this isn't warranted and if it isn't, take 'er down! Since misslane posted, I'll share mine as well:

This is great. If we're in a sharing mood, then I'll just leave these here as well.

People who chime in on vs. threads with "I don't like Superman at all, but he'd win.", STOP HELPING! Superman doesn't need your damning him with faint praise, thank you.

In case some of you guys haven't seen this........

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDpIqFwJoFk

It's an edited version of the comic-con trailer, using clips from the teaser to replace duplicate clips in the trailer. A little blurry, but I get pumped every time I watch it.

I hope Zimmer makes a similar score of the CC footage. Man, that's just intense to me. "He was convinced, that the world, wasn't ready...."

    Awesome.

My guess would be that it has something to do with it being an edited version of the trailer. But I'm no expert on copyright laws.

While Superman does work entirely as a Christ analogue, his stories often evoke Christian imagery. This new poster, for example, reminds me of images like this one:

Both Superman and Jesus are capable of resisting captivity and persecution yet they refuse because there is something more important at stake. In order to encourage people to trust and accept them, they must demonstrate their willingness to submit and suffer.
Ditto! I definitely agree. You actually took the words from my mouth!

No, but it is the first time I saw the man square on in the face as Superman. Why 'ya ask?

I love the idea of power by restraint and all, and Supes wanting to gain our trust by adjusting to our laws...

But please, not the Christian analogy, please no. We already had that (too much of that, actually) with SR.
