Default Big Time - Ultimate Collection

    Hey comic pals,

I know this is a poor time to be talking to Spidey fans what with the blooming rigmarole and all of the old 'Spidey' 698 coming out, but i was just wondering if the Big Time Ultimate Collection was an advised purchase for any of you?

Used to be a HUGE Spidey fan, haven't read in years. Also, are there plans for an ultimate collection book 2 in the near future? Is it solicited?

    Thanks dudes.

I rather enjoyed the Big Time arc. For me the art stood out and it was a fun time for the Amazing Spider-Man comic.

As for a second Ultimate Collection I doubt there will be one. Though you can get the rest of the series through paperbacks and H.C.

Yeah, this book is awesome. You won't want to put it down. I think it's a good way to get back into Spidey.

I enjoy most of the Big Time UC, although I find the FF arc to be fairly weak. (But I am hugely disinterested in the FF, so, YMMV.) If you're looking for a good block of Spidey action, give it a shot.

There won't be a volume 2, because the next arc, Spider Island, is already collected in a paperback and hardcover collection. The "Return of Anti-Venom" arc actually fits between the Big Time UC and the Spider Island collection, but it's not strictly required reading. (Still worth picking up, especially if you like Eddie Brock, but if you're only dipping your toes in the Spider-Pool, you can go right to Spider Island.)

In January, the next big arc, "Ends of the Earth", will be out in paperback; it's already out in hardcover. That's another important arc, although I don't think it's quite as strong as Spider Island.

I'm not sure if I should buy this or not.

I have all the issues in single, but I really like Slott's run and would like it in a nice collection. I don't think we will get an omnibus or a 'Best of OHC' series any time soon, so I'll either get the Big Time HC's or this and the rest in HC.

I'm going to be HC-waiting with Superior (hopefully) so it would be good to have the whole saga in the same style.
