Default How to post animated GIFs?

I'm trying to post an animated GIF from my flashdrive onto a thread, but when I do its first frame attaches as a JPEG. (See Attached)
I resized it to fit within the accepted range, but that still didn't work.
What steps do I have to take so everybody can see my GIF?
    Thank you.

Attaching an image usually breaks the animation.

    from site reference locally

While linking to the image usually works.

    from site not locally referenced

Best to use a photo storage site and then link them.

Attached gif animations can work like below, but they are tricky due to the file size limit and physical size limit.

Do you have a working gif animation of the image you want to use somewhere you can link to?
