I can't tell. I was really hoping the colored page would make it easier to tell, and it totally doesn't lol. Judging from the interviews she's apparently a character that won't be seen often, but will have a 'galvanizing' effect when she is around.

Kind of both. That's basically been Elektra's costume since she was introduced, though that cover definitely makes it look more butt-floss-y than it typically is.

I don't get this. Why should I buy the book now, when I'm not a big fan of the idea of the series in the first place, and now I know what happens?

Probably because the rest of the issue won't be all that exciting (not that I think the pages shown are, LOL).
Venom looks awful in that recolored costume.
