I'm thrilled. :) The creative team, character, and described direction for the series are all pure gold.

As a Wolverine fan, I have to point out that most of these are unlikely to be substantive appearances. Wolverine is everywhere, but he's a window dressing used to sell comics. In the pre-Marvel Now! era the only places you could really read about him were X-Force, WATXM, and his solo. Everyone else just knocks him out five seconds into a fight to demonstrate how powerful a villain is, or has him drinking beer in the background for comic relief. That's the way it has been for a very long time.
the "James" thing is definitely weird... but "James Logan"? really?
maybe he was talking about other character at all...

If this creative team were on *any* other character I'd have at least given it a try...![]()
Alan Davis Wolverine
Hell, ALAN DAVIS ANYTHING
That is all that matters
such a waste of a perfect Excalibur NOW! creative team.
shame on you, Marvel. SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

Isn't there a Savage Wolverine title as well with his adventures in the Savage Lands or did I just dream that? Seems like a waste to have two Wolverine titles... would have been better if perhaps X-23 or maybe... maayyybeee a Daken title instead of they wanted a poke in the Wolverine family. But with this... I think Wolverines on like four books at minimum where he has a constant presence (Wolverine, Savage Wolverine, Uncanny Avengers and Wolverine and the X-Men)... seems a bit too much.

I am Apocalypse! Look upon the future and tremble!
I am as far beyond Mutants as they are beyond you. I am eternal.
Evil? I am not malevolent, I simply am!
I really hope Wolverine doesn't start referring to himself as "James" in the book, because even after learning his true name, he's always gone by "Logan". James Howlett is his birth name, Logan is the name he actually goes by, James Logan is an incorrect hybrid of the two.
I do think that the iFanboy question, "This is an awfully British creative team for a backwoods Canadian like Wolverine. Can you tap into his outwardly expressed rage?" shows a ... lack of knowledge about Britain in general, as if it's some sort of culture of passive non-violence. (Apart from genuine history, recent and otherwise, some of the British comics writers over the last few decades have written some of the most dramatically violent comics we've seen.)
Man oh man, awesome! And here was I, thinking that I'd never buy a Wolverine solo book. Glad to be proven wrong!
I was hoping this would turn out to be some variation of Excalibur, but well you can't have everything. Paul Cornell + Alan Davis, that's an automatic buy from me. Exciting times in comics!
lol at the crybabies...."another Wolverine book?"
What do you mean another? this is his SOLO that just ended with Bunn.
Cornell will be great, Davis is not a good fit here at all. Will Conrad is available or Mike Perkins.
The best and most beloved X-character gets all the books, yall. Deal. With. It.

Two Wolvie solos?
Well. Still gonna check them both out. Frank Cho's art is awesome and his series sounds really interesting. But Cornell and Davis together on a Wolverine book? I'm there!
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.
Show Teddy some love!
