I love Cornell, but I was also weirded out by him called Wolvie "James" four times in one paragraph. That and the whole "kid's life hangs in the balance" thing. Is this Power Pack? Blech.
Still, I'll bite on anything just on the strength of Davis, and Cornell has goodwill to spare with me at the moment. But, again, how can this creative team NOT be making a new Excalibur-esque book? It boggles the mind.
Bingo!

I, for one, am glad there'll be an alternative to the Savage Land title. I could see maybe an arc in the SL hanging out with Shanna and sabretooth cats but only if Cho wasn't on art.
Hopefully, Cornell will bring something odd and interesting to the Wolverine table.
I'm excited. I hope Cornell &Davis do an arc with Mystique and AOA Nightcrawler. Also, as many Kitty and Rachel appearances as possible.

I wouldn't be too surprised if this is where Jubilee ends up.
I'm Confused why is Wolverine not allowed to have a good writer for his solo?
I'm so bored with this martyrdom routine, this halo all you X-men love to polish. Self-described soldiers adorned in an "X" with no dedication to what it actually stands for.
Apparently Wolverine is too "mainstream" for some folks. Whatevs. Everyone knows Wolverine is easily the most popular X-Man. And it's a good way for writers to make a name for themselves, like Jason Aaron did. Writing a great Wolverine story makes Marvel much more willing to let you write on other characters.
I don't mind James Logan being the name on his driver's license, but he's never referred to himself that way. Why start now? Nonetheless, I'm not outraged.
Intriguing premise, and it sounds like a valid attempt to reconcile the two sides of Logan's persona: the unrepentant berserker and the concerned parent-figure,
The creative team is solid enough (DAVIS!!!) that even as a Wolverine solo title, I may be interested enough to give it a shot. With all the Wolverine books out there, eventually SOMEONE'S going to pin down SOMETHING like the character I used to love.
Maybe Cornell just likes referring to him as James?
