    One idea I've been working on is that demigods are beings that have the ability tap into the divine aspect of their blood subconsciously without effort, to an extent, but, learning to consciously call of that power is always better, as doing so over time transforms them into more godly beings, their still demigods, but less mortal.

    If you have a setting where ascending to divinity is possible, demigods should have a fairly easy time of it due to already having a head start.

    It really depends on how powerful their god parent is, a demigod with has a minor god for a parent won't get anywhere near the child of a major deity.
