There's a lot of foreign works that are high quality, but we don't know about them.

I know next to nothing about most foreign works or creators.

The problem is it's hard to convince people that their properties aren't worth much. And every once in awhile a very obscure character does hit it big. Look at Blade.

And did any of us ever imagine that we would see a Guardians of the Galaxy movie coming out? I know those are both Marvel properties, but it kind of illustrates my point.

Or how about John Carter. Yeah the movie didn't do well, but it shows that occasionally companies are willing to put big money and push fairly obscure characters.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea!

Yea. Their CrossGen titles were horrible so I doubt they'll bring them back. We haven't heard anything about Marvelman. All the properties they acquired from Malibu/Ultraverse have gone unsued (except for Amazing Man). And they stopped allowing BOOM! to use Disney's mouse and duck universe and done zilch with them.

That last one pisses me off because BOOM! was doing such a good idea.
