Dini can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. I was so jazzed GCS got hardcover treatments.

Yeah I'm not really feeling Chippy's unhappiness with Dini. Perhaps it was "losing" to Hush?

I hated the whole excuse for the team up being Selina too weak to be on her own. I absolutely hated GCS with a passion. I hated the fact that the way Dini chose to show them bonding was by putting Catwoman in a situation where she always had to be saved by the other two. I remember many Catwoman fans on the DC boards complaining about the same thing.

I thought Dini did good there. It paired up well with Streets of Gotham. And to be completely fair all three girls took turns getting pulled out of crappy situations by the other two.

Well, for one, Catwoman wasn't a title that was split from two different perspectives (such as cops and drug dealers) like The Wire, and it also wasn't an ensemble cast. It has one main character who narrates. And it doesn't play out like a drama involving surveillance on drug dealers, or city politics. It also doesn't have a tone similar to The Wire either. So, well, I can see why he's confused about why you'd say Winick wanted Catwoman to be the Wire in comic form, since it's not like The Wire. Though I do like both his Catwoman run and The Wire, for the recordo.

I guess maybe you're saying it was too "gritty/street level" for your taste? Maybe something like say Daredevil would be a better comparison tone wise. Though that Catwoman run had it's own style to it, a mixture of in-over-her-head drama and fun ass kicking.

Anyways, here's hoping Catwoman lands on her feet again.

I was just asking for clarification. I was recalling something Judd himself had said, not giving my personal opinion. I've never seen the show.

That's just putting words into my mouth and then discussing them with me.

Ha, hey I'm happy to take two things and compare them on a scientific level for kicks. It does seem most writers list The Wire and Game of Thrones etc in interviews, just as saying they're good examples of juggling characters and plot threads well etc.
