I used to love The Lord of the Rings. Used to read it every couple of years. But I just don't have the patience for it any more. It's not even the flowery use of language because I still love Bradbury. It's the constant digressions in to minutiae.

Just got back from Lincoln. Now that was a 2 1/2 hour film that did not feel long. Daniel Day-Lewis was just spectacular.

Yep, I'm the same way. The whole thing could've been wrapped up before Sauron even came to power if they hadn't wasted 40 or 50 years fucking around.

Had a little open-house thing in my studio (AKA my apartment) today. Pretty small turnout, but good people nonetheless. Think I'll make this a yearly occurrence.
