You didn't miss a thing. It's a terrible book with hackneyed plots, mawkish dialogue and unappealing art.

It's just a typical Simone book. Everything's a bit too dramatic to take seriously, the villains aren't compelling, but are supposedly serious threats, the main character won't shut up and the jokes fall flat.

Did the plot for the dumb detective who wanted a warrant for Batgirl , for having a gun on her ever resolve itself ? Because I can only think of one resolution of that...

Female detective - "I want a warrant put out for Batgirl."

I can't imagine people would get hurt feelings over someone not doing a good editor job of miss spelled words. In fact I remember a joke was Bendis himself does a lot of grammar errors and the editors try and catch what they can.
