    I think him killing people is out of character I could see him building the dome/City and getting away from society or at least building powerful tech for SHIELD.
    Also there are lots of villians who could have take his place.

    Ultimate Reed Richards is a different character though, so it's not necessarily out of character for him.

    I'm surprised this is a genuine turn to the dark side, and not cheap twist or misconception. Do find it very interesting.

    I think it's because his girlfriend the Insatiable Woman is shagging the Grape Ape. Reed's not really Evil; He just needs a hug.

    I think the logical extension of building The City though is that he has to destroy what came before cuz otherwise there would be a 0.0001% chance that his perfect society would be destroyed by anything left over. So he's not being evil, it's just math.

    And math is neutral. It also does not give a f**k about destroying entire countries.
