Looking Back at the Relaunch a little over a year later

Right now, I'm reading slightly more DC every month than I was pre-relaunch, so in that sense it has worked for me. I don't miss the deep continuity nearly as much as I thought I would.

What seems telling to me is that this is the first time I've made a point of reading Aquaman and Wonder Woman every month. And even though some titles have been utter mis-fires (I'm looking at you, Green Arrow!), there are still probably a half-dozen titles getting rave reviews that I haven't been able too check out yet, just because there's not enough room in the budget.

Going into New 52, I was skeptical, but hopeful. A year on, I'd say I've been pleasantly surprised , but not blown away.

Oh, defintely. It clearly never was a Rozum book. I love his stuff usually.

Well, we would like to believe that, but as they didn't give him more control we really have no way of knowing.

Other than going by the quality of his previous work.
His "behind the scenes" tattling really provides the only logical explanations for why the book was so bad.

I read CBR daily, just sometimes have difficulty posting here as it sometimes seems as if there are too many people on here who can't let go of the idea that DC isn't publishing their favorite characters just to spite them.

I'm a long time reader of comics and yet I've never gotten the idea that some fans like to come up with, especially ones with DC is out to get Stephanie Brown fans and its personal. Or that certain publishers like Dan Didio is out to troll their fans. I don't see how any decision has got to do with anything else other than branding and profit making or synchronising with other media.
