What DVD or Series Boxed Set have you purchased recently?

Star Wars (blu-ray), Toy Stories trilogy (dvd), Hunger Games (blu-ray), and Dune. (blu-ray)

Not all that expensive in the end but between that, the gifts for the family and friends and all this end of the year frenzy it's going to be noodles for me till June.

Good to know. Superman II is my favorite! I want perfection when they're tossing buses at each other.

The UK boxset is a great package; it's an 8-Disc set that comprises of the following:

Superman: The Movie
Superman: The Extended Edition
Superman II
Superman II: Richard Donner Cut

Superman IV: The Quest For Peace
Superman Returns
Superman And The Mole Men (George Reeves)
And a Disc full of documentaries and bonus scenes.

I'm not sure if the US version has the same content, though.

Indeed. It's true, though: Superman Returns is visually stunning on Blu-Ray. As are the Star Wars Prequels...
