I am a pretty decent fan of Dark Shadows so plan to read the issues as they come out, or at least when they hit $2 on Comixology. But I was scanning the top 300 sales list for next month and saw Dark Shadows at 300, the bottom. I assume there are books under that as well. But Dark Shadows was in the low 5K range and there were many books under 6K. So now I wonder if I shouldn't get too attached because this may not have long to live. I know Dynamite for most titles doesn't count on big numbers the big 2 get, but a book at 300 seems vulnerable.

Does anyone know where the smaller publishers like Dynamite give up on titles?

Also, I wonder if digital helps the smaller publishers get their titles out more in places like Comixology where they might not get shelf space in a store. I now read as many independents as DC because I see them on Comixology and take a chance.
